Need to cool off?

Last year in the spring we installed air-conditioning.  People are welcome to stop by to cool off during our open hours. Besides books, computers, magazines, and newspapers, we have WiFi and comfy chairs to sit in.

Summer Reading

Come to the library August 1 to 5, morning and evenings. Enjoy stories, activities, crafts, dancing, scavenger hunt, games, and snacks.  Check out the calendar.

Children 3 to 5 should come with caretaker.

Summer Reading has begun

Summer Reading sponsored by the Madrid youth commission is now meeting at 9 am for grades 1 to 3 and 10:15am for grades 4 to 6. This reading program will continue,Tuesday to Friday every week, until the 29th of July . Then for ages 3 to 13, August 1st through the 5th, the library will continue the summer reading program as they have done in years past. Click on the Summer Reading tab above for more information.

Change in policy

The Madrid Library has changed the length of time books can be borrowed to a 4 week loan. New books are still a 2 week loan. Movies are still a 1 week loan. Audios are still a 2 week loan.

Planning committee

The library's 100 year anniversary is coming up next summer and we are starting the planning process for a celebration! We'd like as much community involvement as possible!
