We are proud to announce our newly renovated library and new addition to our staff!
With the help of NCLS, the goal of more effectively reaching out to our community, and offering better services to our patrons, there have been some important changes at the Hepburn Library of Madrid.
The presentation and ease of use to the public has been improved through a NYS Construction Grant that has allowed the original shelving to be rearranged for wheelchair accessibility, new wall bookcases to be built, new tiled carpet to be installed, and the interior to be freshly painted. Also, our Friends of the Library group helped purchase an outdoor sign to better communicate events to our community!
Staff has been restructured according to strengths in order to better serve our patrons. Kathy Paige continues to provide friendly service and Julie Gomez continues to provide patrons technology support. in addition, we'd like to present our new library director, Laurel Murphy. Laurel brings innovative ideas for programming and improved technological knowhow to our library!
Stop in to see our progress, celebrate our 100th anniversary, and say "Hello" to our new director!
From the Board of Trustees: It is in our great interest to support our library so it can grow and expand to meet the needs of our community and become an invaluable resource for today as well as tomorrow's generations. Thank you for your support and the opportunity for our library to be a wonderful resource in this community!
