What is the Teen Reads Tourney?

The Teen Reads Tourney is a Book battle program which is a competition similar to jeopardy or whiz quiz games but questions come from a controlled list of books that participants read in preparation for the games. 

Who can participate?
Any person who is in 7th to 12th grade can compete in the Teen Reads Tourney this includes, home school students, private school students, public school students, etc.

When does it take place?
Reading begins in June. Registration deadline is October. Local competition is in October. Regional competition is Veteran’s Day in November.

Where does it take place?
This year Madrid/Waddington registrations will be handled by Madrid Library. This year the local competition will take place at the Madrid Library. This year the regional competition will be held at Watertown library.

Madrid Library and Waddington Library are working together on the Teen Reads Tourney as they do on the Battle of the Books. They get to host the events alternating every year. This year Waddington is hosting the Battle of the Books and Madrid is hosting the Teen Reads Tourney.
